In July every year, I.A.A organizes a week long youth environment camp, that brings together hundreds of youths across the country, from the age of 13-25 to train and inspire them to grow up as nature lovers. The camp provides an opportunity for young people to learn by doing in tree nursery, tree planting and maintenance, waste collection and management, pollution control, leadership and sustainable agriculture practices. These young people who successfully participate in this camp, becomes “I.A.A Youth Environment Ambassadors”, who represent I.A.A and lead change in their respective communities. I.A.A work with these Ambassadors to support them builds a sustainable future in their communities, by changing the negative behaviors people have towards the environment. I.A.A believes that we cannot achieve sustainability without building the capacity and supporting young people who would be our leaders tomorrow.
